The goal
A series of photographs designed to give the viewer the feeling of World War II. Through the use of lighting and composition, I create a dark atmosphere.
The photo series consists of fifteen photographs.
The process
I did this project independently; the assignment was to create a series that fit the chosen direction. Initially, I planned to make a photo series of the dentist.
However, I was unsatisfied and decided to make another photo series. To do this, I first thought about what I could make a series out of. While talking to my grandmother, I got the idea to make a series about war.
We then spent half the day making the pictures. The hardest part after that was making a selection from the photos.
I then edited these in Photoshop to optimise the lighting and contrast for the atmosphere I wanted to convey.
I am delighted with the outcome of the photo series and the emotion it exudes. And so I proudly display them in my portfolio.
