My Story

Ever since I was a young kid I have always had a special interest in creating websites and managing servers. I always try to learn new things and expand my knowledge of the field. This has allowed me to gain a wide range of skills ranging from front-end development to back-end development, server management and security.

Coding since I was 13 years old

When I was 13 years old my cousin showed me how to make a simple website using HTML. Ever since then, I have been in love with writing code. Over the years, I started to expand my skills and knowledge.

Once I got into a study for interaction design, I started to develop my skills fast. Since I had gained a good foundation, I started to expand my coding knowledge outside of school. And I then started to learn React outside of school.

Coding for good

In my twenties, when I started to explore my identity, I also wanted to pay back to the community that helped me find myself. I did this by offering my services to members of the community. Such as developing bots that helped detect hateful behavior using AI for LGBTQIA+ community discord servers.

During my internship, I was responsible for migrating the internal software from MyParcel over from a legacy framework to Vue JS. Furthermore, I improved the automated testing strategy to have a user-centred implementation.
Yummygum
Front-end Developer

During my time at Yummygum I have worked on a variety of different projects. I have worked with several technologies and frameworks including NextJS, TypeScript, SCSS, React, Gatsby and more. I was also responsible for converting over our boilerplate to Bit.cloud. I'm also responsible for our server management, which includes keeping our Ubuntu server up to date, managing the NGINX config and other server maintenance.

During my internship at Yummygum I worked with React, Gatsby, Javascript, SCSS. I also worked with React Native and React Native Web to develop a shared experience accross mobile apps and web. I primarily worked on the internal project Jollycons, for which I animated SVG's using JavaScript.
SwitchBay
Intern - Front-end developer

During my Internship at SwitchBay I was responsible for improving the front-end of the digital marketplace. I also worked on adding several new features to the admin dashboard. Including adding logic that allows the finance department to see the total sales that happened over a period of time. During my internship I worked with JavaScript, NodeJS, React and IndexedDB.
