The goal
The goal was to create a festival website for the Haarlem Fesitval, I was responsible for designing and developing the dance part of the festival. It was important that the pages conveyed the experience of the dance festival.
Experiencing the festival in a glance
To really convey the experience of the festival we used a bunch of images of performances by the artists, we also added videos of previous performances by the artist. We used a dark theme for the dance festival since the majority of the dance events will take part at night. We used dark shades of purple ast the primary color, and a bright blue for the buttons to really call the attention of the users.
Creating a mobile experience
We started by thinking about what people want when they go to a dance event website on mobile. They want to be able to see the event schedule, buy tickets, and find out more about the event. So, we designed a mobile website that makes it easy to do all of those things. The event schedule is front and center, and you can buy tickets right from the homepage. Plus, we've included all of the event information that people might be looking for, so they can easily find what they need.
Planning your experience
To allow the user to schedule the parts that they will go to in the Haarlem festival, we created a planner that allows them to create a timetable for the entirity of the event, they can share their planning with friends, and they can buy all the tickets with one click from the planner.
